Accidental Injury Insurance

Major injuries are painful. But the financial impact of the medical treatment doesn’t have to be.

Accidental Injury Insurance pays lump sum benefits directly to you if you suffer a range of covered injuries such as a fracture, burn, ligament damage or major concussion. Benefits are paid even if you have other coverage. The benefit amount is calculated based on the type of injury, its severity, and what medical services are required in treatment and recovery.

The plan covers a wide variety of injuries and accident-related expenses, including:

  • Fractures and Dislocations
  • Concussion
  • Hospitalization
  • Physical Therapy
  • Emergency Room Treatment
  • Transportation and more.

  • Portable Coverage - You can take your policy with you if you change jobs or retire.

  • Family Coverage - You can elect to cover your spouse and children.

  • Guaranteed Issue - There are no health questions or physical exams required.

  • 24/7 Coverage - Benefits are paid for accidents that occur on and off the job.

  • Health Screening Benefit -  The plan provides a $100 benefit per covered person per calendar year if you or your covered dependents complete a covered health screening test such as a physical exam, total cholesterol blood test, mammogram, lipid panel and more.

These insurance benefits are not sponsored or endorsed by ATD and are voluntary benefits that are not subject to ERISA. The policy or its provisions may vary or be unavailable in some states. The policy has exclusions and limitations which may affect any benefits payable.

Accidental Injury Insurance can be canceled at any time. However, to add or make other changes to your coverage during the year outside of open enrollment you need to have a qualifying life event.
