How To Enroll

Benefits enrollment will be in Workday and Everyday Benefits to elect or waive benefits.

Team members are eligible for benefits if they are either a full-time or part-time team member regularly assigned to work at least 40 hours per two-week pay period and are employed in a benefit eligible position.

  • Corewell Health considers a full-time team member to work between 72-80 hours per pay period;
  • A part-time team member works between 40-71 hours per pay period.

Coverage begins on the first of the month following your hire date or date of status change.

Eligible dependents are:

  • Your legally married spouse
  • Children up to age 26, including stepchildren, legally adopted children, and children under your legal court appointed guardianship. Coverage continues until the end of the month in which the dependent reaches the age limit of the plan.
  • Your disabled child of any age, who is unmarried, incapable of self-support and claimed by you as a dependent on your income tax return, provided the disability began before the age limits.

When coverage begins:

When you become eligible, you will have 31 days to enroll in benefits, and your benefits begin on the first of the month following your date of hire or date of status change.

If you do not enroll: If you do not enroll in the Corewell Health benefit program within 31 days of your hire date/status change date, you will automatically be enrolled in the following benefits at no cost to you:

  • Core Life insurance & Core AD&D insurance
  • Core Short-Term Disability
  • Core Long-Term Disability

When coverage ends

Life, AD&D, short-term disability and long-term disability terminate on your last day worked; or the last day you or your dependent(s) no longer meet eligibility requirements.

All other coverage terminates on the last day of the month in which you or your dependent(s) no longer meet eligibility requirements.

  • Webex is not the primary meeting platform for Corewell Health, so there may be some extra steps needed to launch these meetings.

  • We recommend that you begin launching the meeting with your Aon counselor at least 5 minutes prior to your meeting time.

  • On the meeting invite, the large green button titled “Join Meeting” may not work. If this is the case scroll down a bit and click on the actual meeting link under the “Join from the meeting link” section.

  • Once launched you will see another window pop-up in which you may need to click the “launch meeting” button. There may be another pop-up that comes up as well that asks if you would like to accept the pop-ups from Aon, click the check box to allow this.

  • You will then enter your name, and email address (which may be populated already if you have joined other Webex meetings). Click “join as a guest” button.

  • Once in Webex, be patient as you may need to wait for a bit. The counselor will let you into the meeting once ready.
