New Hires

Enrollment Instructions for Newly Hired Employees

Employees newly hired in 2025 must complete their "new hire" enrollment and select or waive benefits. Refer to the Open Enrollment Instructions Guide for assistance in navigating the Workday enrollment platform.

You are eligible for all VHC Health benefits if you work in a full-time or permanent part-time status. If you are a PRN or part-time employee working less than 20 hours per week, you are only eligible for medical coverage under the High Deductible Plan and certain other

voluntary benefits shown in the Benefits Summary on the Important Documents page. You must enroll within 30 days of your eligibility date. If you do not enroll for benefits within the 30-day period, you will have to wait for the next Annual Open Enrollment to apply for benefits.

• Your children up to age 26 (children may include biological, adopted, stepchildren, and children for whom you have legal guardianship)

• Your children over age 26 who are not able to support themselves due to a physical or mental disability

•  Disability Insurance

•  Critical Illness Insurance

•  Hospital Indemnity Insurance

•  Life Insurance

•  Short-Term Disability Insurance

•  Long-Term Disability Insurance

When Does Coverage Begin?

Based on your elections, coverage begins on the 1st of the month following your hire date.
