Voluntary Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance

Your ability to bring home a paycheck is your most valuable asset. We help you protect it.

If an injury or illness keeps you out of work longer than the Short-Term Disability period, Voluntary Long-Term Disability Insurance can provide additional income protection.

This voluntary coverage allows you to secure 60% of your monthly earnings up to $10,000. Payable benefits begin after 26 weeks and continue until you retire.

NOTE: Non-paid owners and commissions-only worksite employees who do not draw a salary or hourly wage are not eligible for voluntary disability benefits offered through MetLife.

Eligibility in the Voluntary LTD plan requires enrollment in the employer-paid 50%/$1,000 plan. Employees with no wages are not eligible.

Applicable offsets/deductions are income from other sources (such as Social Security Disability benefits) that you receive or are eligible to receive as a result of/due to your disability, which will reduce your total LTD benefit amount each month. Please see your plan certificate for full details.

Non-Paid Owners and Commission-Only Employees are not eligible for the above coverage.
