You never know when you or a loved one will experience a Critical Illness. Critical illness insurance through Cigna pays you a one-time lump sum to help supplement the cost of the following and more:
- Heart Attack
- End Stage Renal (Kidney) Failure
- Major Organ Transplant
- Invasive Cancer
- Stroke
You choose the benefit amount when you enroll, from $5,000 to $40,000 (in $5,000 increments).
When you elect coverage for yourself, eligible children are automatically enrolled at 50% of the Associate amount elected. Additional family coverage is also available.
A Health Screening Benefit is included, which pays an annual $50 incentive, per person, to you and your enrolled dependents, who receive a health screening or test (blood test, stress test, colonoscopy, chest x-ray, mammogram, biometric screening, etc.). You can even use the same annual exam from your Wellness Incentive requirements, to qualify for this benefit.
Coverage is portable — you can take your policy with you if you change jobs or retire.
