No Increase! Medical Contributions
The City is pleased to keep That Philly Feelin’ going by announcing the great news that your 2025 benefit contributions will stay the same for non-tobacco users for the 12TH YEAR IN A ROW!
IMPROVED! Benefits Start Date for New Hires
Coverage for new hires and newly eligible CAP members who have enrolled will begin as follows:
On the 1st-15th – Day of hire
From the 16th to the end of the month – First day of the following month
Lower Copays
For both the HMO and PPO plans, the teladoc copy has been lowered to $10, and the urgent care copay has been reduced to $20.
In addition, under the HMO plan, the tele-behavioral health and outpatient behavioral copay has been reduced to $20.
Maternity Doula Care Coverage – Cayaba
The CAP Health Plan now covers customized, high-touch maternity/doula support. Through Cayaba Care and IBX, members will receive personalized pregnancy and postpartum care, including doula coverage, from their own Maternal Health Navigator.
Enhanced! Dental PPO – United Concordia
Adult orthodontia coverage will be available to members enrolled in the Concordia Flex (PPO) plan, with services covered at 80%, no deductible, up to a lifetime maximum of $2,000. This benefit is separate from the annual maximum of $2,500.
Backup Care – Wellthy
Launched August 1, 2024, Wellthy provides emergency backup day care for dependents and adults when regular day care isn't available. Through Wellthy, the City covers the cost of up to 8 days of backup care per employee per year, up to $225 per day for providers within Wellthy's Care Network and $125 for providers in your personal network. Introduction to Sword – MSK
Sword is a digital physical therapy program that helps members prevent and treat acute, chronic, and post-surgical pain for the lower back, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, elbow, anklet, and wrist.
New Voluntary Benefits
Members will be able to enroll in optional benefits called "voluntary benefits," paid for through after-tax payroll contributions.
Your new voluntary benefits through Aflac will include:
Group Term to 120 Life Insurance – you can purchase from $25,000 up to $200,000 of portable life insurance.
Accident Insurance – helps pay out-of-pocket expenses associated with an accident including medical and non-medical expenses.
A Hospital Indemnity Plan – supplements your major medical coverage and offers protection or assistance with in-patient treatment.
Protection for Your Furry Friends from WAGMO
Choose a Pet Wellness and/or Pet Insurance plan through Wagmo to cover those expected and unexpected vet expenses.
